2008) - Even the threat of heavy rain forecasted for Saturday, May 31st didn't stop sports enthusiasts from attending the 14th Annual Sports Festival at
Cantiague Park, hosted by the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. With
sixteen softball teams vying for the championship title and eight volleyball
teams competing for a win, team members put forth their best and enjoyed
challenging games throughout the day.

2008 BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS
BRINGS BUSINESSES AND NON-PROFITS TOGETHER IN THE SPIRIT OF GIVING
New Hyde Park (May, 2008) – More than 200 people from the business and non-profit arenas came together on Tuesday, May 6 at Carlyle on the Green in celebration of the “2008 Breakfast of Champions,” the kickoff event of The Long Island Way. Founded by Donna Cariello, president of the organization, the Long Island Way is a unique business that promotes, supports and connects businesses and non-profits and helps foster new partnerships that are mutually beneficial. The event, which featured a trade expo and raffle opportunities, included an enjoyable executive breakfast and discussions by presenters.
Keynote speaker at the event was Robert S. Weitzner, President of the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island who presented on the topic, “Bridging the Gap Between Non-Profits and Businesses on Long Island: Help Your Organization Evolve to the Next Level.”

MEMBERS OF THE LONG ISLAND WAY DONATE THEIR CHEF’S HATS AND PREPARE COMFORT FOODS FOR THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE OF LONG ISLAND
New Hyde Park, NY (June, 2008) – Donna Cariello, President of the Long Island Way, along with members, Susan McDonald, Peggy Miner, Helen Zagaro, Marie Cantone, Michael Grossberg, Dawn Amato-Rudolph, Linden Rudolph and Pat Cardavid were the chefs for the day at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. Together, they were at the top of their game while preparing a delicious dinner for our resident families.
Warm and scrumptious foods for dinner included a menu of creamy macaroni and cheese, baked salmon, breaded chicken cutlets, buttery dinner rolls and mouth watering fresh strawberries for dessert.
